Taking on a defender 1v1

Each attacker must be able to get free in a 1 vs 1 situation in order to help your team keep the ball and take it to goal.

What?s in the Session?

The session begins with a fun warm-up to get your players moving and thinking of ways to maintain possession. This warm-up provides a competitive, enjoyable game that will challenge both the attack and defence. The session develops to focusing on small drills to allow your players to practice their 1 vs 1 attacking skills. ?1 vs 1 Movement? allows the attackers to continuously practice their positioning and using different ways to get free to maintain possession in a tight situation. The session concludes with a drill looking at your players attacking skills on a centre pass to enable your team to capitalise.

It is important that players use their body effectively and have numerous ways to get free in order to maintain possession.
