This all ages and abilities session is designed to introduce players to the 'Adding to the Pass' receiving technique. It's very important for players to learn this skill as it enables them to control of the ball and continue moving without having to stand still - giving them the extra yard against their opposite number.
What's in the Session?
To get players passing and receiving like seasoned pros we open this session with some speed passing pair exercises working on ball control. Once your players' sticks are nicely warmed up we progress the skill, getting your pairs to receive and run in the same direction as the pass in a smooth movement, before putting the skill to the test in a move towards the goal exercise.
Don't get caught standing! Teach your players this technique and make it harder for defenders to close down your players.
